WP-3: BANASTHALI UNIVERSITY, RAJASTHAN

Main Objectives:

  • Waste-water treatment using immobilized microorganism technology.

  • Nano and microbe assisted phytoremediation studies for Phenols and biodiesel waste materials.

Methodology:

  • Preparation of Simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) defatted meal extract.

  • Preparation of Fe and Al NPs from jojoba defatted meal extract.

  • Characterization of Fe and Al NPs using XRD, EDX, FESEM analysis.

  • Preparation of Fe and Al NPs – PUF.

  • Isolation and characterization of microbe in waste treatment and immobilized on PUF.

  • Immobilization of microbes on poly urethane foam (PUF) and microbe-coated PUF will be tested for waste water treatment.

  • Nano and microbe assisted phytoremediation studies for Phenols and biodiesel waste materials.

Deliverables:

  • Development of novel and cost effective bio degradable material for waste water treatment.

  • Development of nano and microbe assisted technology for removal of Fluoride and phenols and biodiesel wastes.
